Fans don’t have to wait long before they begin a new adventure in Fortnite Battle Royale.
Fortnite Season 4 is ending soon, giving players a few more days to complete challenges and earn the remainder of those tiers.
There have already been a few hints at what might be the theme of Season 5 and what kind of new loot will be added to the game.
The Fortnite Battle Pass has been running a countdown which shows how much time fans have left until Fortnite season 4 finishes.
This was recently updated to show that players were getting two extra days to finish their Season 4 tiers.
This follows previous delays for Fortnite fans during past season crossovers.
The Fortnite season 2 end date, and Fortnite season 3 release date, ended up being delayed by one day.
This was so Fortnite fans could have extra time to unlock all the Fortnite season 2 content.
And now the end of Fortnite season 4 has been delayed by two days, with it finishing on Wednesday, July 11 2018.
The Fortnite season 4 battle pass costs 950 V-Bucks to buy and is still available to anyone who wants to unlock its cosmetics.
While it may sound silly grabbing the battle pass so late in the season, it could still be a good option for those who have been playing a lot over the past six weeks.
Those who do will receive all of the rewards up to their current level, retroactively, Epic Games has confirmed.
And for those who are waiting for Season 5 to begin, the wait is almost over.
The Fortnite season 5 release date is set for Thursday, July 12 – the day after the Fortnite season 4 end date.
It will start at 9am BST, which is 4am eastern time and 1am Pacific time.
There’s been plenty of leaks to suggest that Epic Games are planning to make a few changes too.
With the start of Season 5, fans are expecting to see keymap landmarks switched out for new locations.
Players are already seeing them disappear around the map via small rifts appearing.
Rumour is they will be switched out with historically themed areas and buildings for Season 5.
Some believe the cracks represent an inter-dimensional portal, while others think it’s some kind of time warp.
The cracks have been making things disappear from the map, including the Tomato Town mascot and the Lonely Lodge sign.
But now it appears something has been added to the Battle Royale map.
An anchor has appeared in the hills between Snobby Shores and Greasy Grove.
Perhaps hinting at the direction for the new season, the large anchor can be found on the B6 portion of the map, close to the abandoned car and vending machine.
For those still working on their battle pass, the last set of weekly challenges are available to complete.
The final set of season 4 Battle Pass challenges are pretty tricky, tasking players with eliminating ten opponents, skydiving through floating rings and more.
