So will there be a third movie in the Marvel series?
Nothing is official, but director Peyton Reed has confirmed that he has “ideas” for where the story could go next.
“We have tons of ideas,” he told ScreenRant.
“And we had, as we were developing this one, we had a lot of ideas that we moved away from during the process.
“And if we’re fortunate enough to do a third one, we all have tons of ideas about where we think it will go.”
He added: “We really have only scratched the surface of the Quantum Realm.
“And there are all these elements I think that we want to be given the opportunity to explore.
“And I really, I’m also excited by the Scott/Cassie dynamic.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp was released in the US yesterday but won’t be shown in the UK for another month.
The movie has been given a British release date of August 2 – something that Evangeline Lilly, for one, is very unhappy about.
“They always do that,” she told Empire. “Then what happens is people just pirate the movie and they see it in the worst way possible, like some sh***y version online, instead of going to a theatre.
“They go in the end, but I don’t like that staggering.
“I’m really going to get to the bottom of this for you. I’m as p****d off about it as you are.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp is out on August 2 in the UK.
